NDSU started an ornamental shrub garden in 2021. These are smaller scale shrubs that would fit nicely into the home landscape and particularly as foundation plantings. Select genera include Berberis (barberry), Physocarpus (ninebark), Potentilla, Spirea, Syringa (lilac) , and Weigela.
